About 90 Trinity Street — Trinity Lofts
Streetcar Developments asserts that it creates residential spaces in culturally rich neighbourhoods — in places where the architects themselves would want to live. Trinity Lofts in the historically charming Corktown - Toronto is an attempt to revitalize one such area for Torontonians to enjoy in the 21st century, and it has proven to be a successful one at that.
Corktown plays host to landmarks such as Toronto’s first free school, the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse, and St. Paul’s Basilica, which is the longest standing Roman Catholic Church in the city. Both structures date back to the early 1800’s, offering a pleasant contrast to the modern look of the neighbourhood’s newer constructions like Trinity Lofts.
Located at 90 Trinity Street and 2 Eastern Avenue, the exterior of this soft loft appears futuristic with its curved lines and vertical glass. Those who purchase Toronto condos for sale at the Trinity Lofts therefore benefit from the charm of the neighbourhood together with the functionality of a modern building.
The Suites
90 Trinity Street and 2 Eastern Avenue lofts span across 8 storeys, with 83 Toronto lofts that come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Ranging from approximately 500 to 1,700 square feet, lofts are either one bedroom, two bedrooms, or two bedrooms plus den. Some of the larger suites cover two storeys, and a number contain spacious balconies as well.
While the Trinity Lofts is certainly a new construction, loft features enjoyed by conversions are plentiful here too: ceilings reach 9 feet high, living spaces are bright due to oversized windows and open concept floor plans, while exposed concrete ceilings provide that highly sought after industrial finish.
The Neighbourhood
As previously mentioned, Corktown is a deeply historic neighbourhood which has been occupied by Toronto citizens since the 1800’s. However, many new businesses have moved into the area in recent years, reviving the area with an immense and much needed growth that shows no signs of stopping.
With its location at Trinity Street and Eastern Avenue, the Distillery District is a short walk away from the Trinity Lofts. Here, loft owners will find a number of impressive bars and restaurants, as well as art galleries and boutiques to explore. Balzac’s Coffee, located inside a pump house dating back to 1895, is a perfect place to stop for a beverage and do some people watching.
Also within walking distance is St. Lawrence Market, where shoppers can find anything from steaming hot bagels to the perfectly aged cheddar, while No Frills and FreshCo are just around the corner for stocking up on reasonably priced staples.
Parks and green spaces nearby are so plentiful they will be hard to choose from. Corktown Common is an obvious pick, offering urban explorers 18 acres to lose themselves in. Along the Don River, hiking and cycling trails are yet another option, leading to Riverdale Park, Evergreen Brickworks, and all the way up to Sunnybrook Park to the north.
Transportation
Residents of Trinity Lofts are lucky enough to enjoy walking or cycling along the Martin Goodman Trail, running parallel to Lake Ontario and providing a clear east-west route along the southern end of the city. Car owners can take Lakeshore Boulevard or the Gardiner Expressway for quick access throughout the same region.
Queen and King will also be coveted routes for residents, whether driving, cycling or taking to the streets on foot. Whether perusing the shops or hopping on a streetcar to connect with central downtown Toronto, both of these busy roads are just around the corner from the lofts at 90 Trinity Street and 2 Eastern Avenue. Parliament Street buses offer service toward the Bloor subway line as well.
Trinity Lofts is conveniently located close to Union Station, from which residents may catch the subway, a VIA Rail or GO train, as well as the UP service to Pearson International Airport.
